SWuRL: Discovering the Beauty Within.
Hi my name is Mina Hunt and right now I’d like to welcome you to SwUrl, a delicious place of connection, community, creativity and celebration.
SwUrl is the creative child of Mina Hunt and Deirdrie Cullen, two women who understand what it is to feel the power of connection, to understand the importance of community and the joy in celebrating with those you journey with. We’ve discovered their is a major need in the lives of many people. Whether its women who crave connection with women, couples who are looking to extend their circle of friends, or those who may be facing life changing illness.
Many people, in their wisdom have built up lives devoid of connection, lives that are very busy and that feel full of hard work. What does that look like?
Busy, busy, full time jobs or businesses, juggling kids, finances and keeping a house tip top . There could be a partner thrown in there – or not. Life is spent on the tread mill of go, go, go. To consider taking a moment out in quietness is almost as rare as finding a precious jewel. Something within us tells us something is not right, but we don’t know what it is or how to fix it. We hit the pillow exhausted and wake up feeling the same way. Surely, there is more to this crazy existence?
Watch, for a moment, if you will, a pile of dancing leaves. Quite oblivious to anything around in a breath it picks itself up and dances magically in a spontaneous motion of grace, and when we look we are reminded of what it was like to be young and dancing freely totally unaware of who might be watching. This plain old pile of leaves is transformed by its SwUrl.
There is a side to us mere human beings that wants to come out and play, that is spontaneous, and exciting. It is the beauty within us. We each have it and it releases in different ways. For some it could be meandering along a golden beach, for others releasing a sound from deep within – a babbling brook of notes escaping in freedom. It could be the moment of discovery in a kitchen with the sensations of taste and smell.
SwUrl releases of its own accord when we stop trying to force and start allowing that unique quality and flavour that is ours alone, to unfold. When it does, SwUrl releases the innate beauty, the subtle notion that we of ourselves are entirely perfect and whole. And we are entirely beautiful. Our SwUrl releases the beauty within ourselves.
